Habitat always needs and welcomes volunteers to help in the store and the Habitat office. We can also use your help on fundraising activities such as selling elephant ears and the silent auction and dinner. Please also consider serving on one of the committees listed below:
The role of this committee is to coordinate all aspects of the new building process from design to completion. This committee also identifies possible new building sites and maintains current sites.
Family Selection Committee:
The role of this committee is to screen initial applications to determine which families meet Habitat criteria. The committee then determines which families to interview and ultimately recommend to the Board as partner families.
Family Support Committee:
The role of this committee is to support and mentor new partner families through the home construction and ownership process. The committee also ensures that each family has a liaison who provides the direct link of communication between the affiliate and the family while providing support and guidance.
The role of this committee is to identify potential Board members and recommend, when needed, officers for the Board. Experience with Habitat is required for membership on this committee.
Public Relations & Fundraising Committee:
The role of this committee is to promote the mission and work of Habitat through various media. This committee also recruits volunteers for committees, construction and the board and coordinates all fundraising activities.
The role of this committee is to train and retain volunteers to help with the construction and committee work needed to support the work of Habitat of Humanity of Grays Harbor.
